How Real-Estate Creators Can Remove Faces From Property Videos
Review property walkthroughs for people, mirrors, family portraits, and private screens. Blur detected faces while keeping the room and listing video useful.
On this page
Before posting a property walkthrough, check mirrors, windows, framed photographs, and screens as well as people physically in the room. A listing can reveal an occupant even when the house looked empty during filming.
Use Unseen for detected faces, and your regular editor for crops or fixed covers over other details.
Walk the video as if you lived there
Pause in each room. Look for family portraits, children's artwork with names, calendars, mail, medication labels, and computer displays. Ask what a viewer can read when the camera stops moving.
Decide which details can be removed from the scene before filming and which require an edit. Reshooting an empty room after moving a framed portrait is often cleaner than making a large blur the center of the shot.
An address may be part of the listing, but access codes, security panels, and personal documents usually do not need to be.
Keep the agent visible and hide incidental people
If an agent presents the property on camera, use Select faces in Unseen. Mark the agent's entries Keep and the people you want hidden Hide.
A contractor stepping through a doorway may appear only briefly. Check that entrance in the processed result even if the main presenter looks correct.
For a room-only shot with nobody intended to be visible, Blur all is the simpler route.
Inspect mirrors before leaving each room
Bathroom mirrors, wardrobes, glass shower panels, and glossy appliances can reveal the person holding the camera or someone waiting behind it.
Check the reflection throughout the camera move. A face may emerge from behind the phone as the operator changes grip. A reflected appearance may also be detected separately from a direct appearance.
If a reflected face is missed, draw a box on it in Review & fix faces and track it, crop the shot, or choose another angle. Unseen is built for faces; it is not a general screen or document redactor.
Watch the tour after adding listing graphics
Floor-plan overlays and text can change what the viewer notices. They may temporarily cover a problem detail, then disappear. Do not rely on them as the only cover for private information.
Check the final export's first frame, thumbnail, and any vertical teaser. Create these from the reviewed file.
Make reuse straightforward
Keep the camera original, a clean edit, and the face-treated public version clearly separated. If another agent or marketing partner needs the clip, send the public version rather than the whole project folder.
For mirrored interiors, use the reflection guide. For footage from building security cameras, the property-management guide addresses a different sharing problem.
Try it on a short clip
Start with a difficult moment from your video, then inspect the exported result.
